1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing, browsing, creating an account on, posting to, or otherwise using Confessly, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, Content Policy, Community Standards, and any additional rules or notices displayed within the platform.
If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use Confessly.
Confessly may revise these terms at any time by updating this page or related policy pages. Continued use of the platform after any update means you accept the revised terms.
2. Nature of the platform
Confessly is a user-generated social platform that may allow anonymous confessions, profile content, comments, media uploads, creator interactions, social discovery, reporting, moderation, and optional support features.
Confessly does not pre-screen every piece of user content and does not guarantee that all content on the platform is accurate, lawful, safe, authentic, or appropriate.
Users understand that they may encounter sensitive, emotional, sexual, explicit, offensive, inaccurate, manipulative, false, or otherwise unwanted content while using the platform.
3. Eligibility and age requirements
You must be legally capable of accepting these terms in your jurisdiction to use Confessly.
You must not use Confessly if you are prohibited from doing so under applicable law.
Restricted or NSFW areas, if available, are intended only for users who are at least 18 years old or the age of majority in their jurisdiction, whichever is higher.
Confessly may require age confirmation, identity verification, or other eligibility checks before granting access to certain features.
4. User accounts and security
You are responsible for your account, login credentials, device security, and all activity that occurs through your account unless caused directly by Confessly’s own negligence.
You must provide accurate information where required and must not impersonate another person, business, or organization.
You must not share accounts, sell accounts, transfer access in unauthorized ways, or attempt to evade suspensions, bans, restrictions, or moderation actions.
Confessly may suspend, restrict, shadow limit, verify, re-verify, disable, or terminate accounts for safety, moderation, fraud prevention, legal compliance, abuse prevention, impersonation concerns, or operational reasons.
5. User-generated content and ownership
You retain responsibility for the confessions, profile text, comments, messages, usernames, avatars, media, tags, captions, and all other content you post or submit to Confessly.
You must only post content that you own, control, or have lawful rights, permission, and consent to publish.
By posting content to Confessly, you grant Confessly a non-exclusive, worldwide, revocable, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, format, transmit, display, moderate, review, distribute within the service, and otherwise process that content for the purposes of operating, securing, improving, enforcing, and providing the platform.
This license exists only to the extent reasonably necessary for platform operation, safety, legal compliance, internal moderation, service analytics, and related platform functions.
6. Consent, likeness, and intimate content
You must not upload, share, hint at, threaten to distribute, or otherwise publish intimate, sexual, suggestive, identifying, private, or personal content involving another person without their valid consent and legal capacity to consent.
You must not post revenge content, blackmail content, coercive material, non-consensual material, voyeuristic content, hidden-camera content, deepfakes intended to deceive or sexualize real individuals without consent, or any material designed to humiliate, expose, exploit, or intimidate another person.
You are solely responsible for confirming that all persons depicted or referenced in content you upload are legally eligible, consenting where required, and lawfully included in that content.
7. Prohibited content and conduct
You must not post, upload, distribute, request, advertise, facilitate, or promote illegal content, underage sexual content, child exploitation material, grooming behavior, trafficking-related material, threats, terrorism-related content, violent extremism, unlawful harassment, targeted abuse, doxxing, blackmail, non-consensual intimate imagery, impersonation, fraud, malware, or other unlawful or harmful material.
You must not use Confessly to stalk, exploit, extort, deceive, scam, intimidate, misrepresent, harass, organize unlawful conduct, or evade law enforcement, moderation, or civil accountability.
You must not interfere with the platform, scrape the platform in unauthorized ways, reverse engineer protected parts of the service, abuse APIs or endpoints, mass-report maliciously, spam, or use bots or automation in ways that harm normal platform operation.
8. Anonymous posting does not remove responsibility
Confessly may offer anonymous or pseudonymous features, but anonymity on the platform does not eliminate your legal or policy responsibilities.
Anonymous content may still be moderated, restricted, investigated, removed, reported, preserved for review, or disclosed where legally required or permitted.
Confessly may use moderation systems, logging, verification checks, trust signals, and abuse monitoring to protect the platform and its users.
9. NSFW and restricted content
If Confessly permits NSFW or restricted content, such access is conditional and may be limited by age checks, opt-in confirmation, profile verification, moderation status, jurisdictional restrictions, or internal safety rules.
NSFW content may only be posted by eligible profiles where explicitly permitted by platform rules.
Restricted content may remain hidden by default, may require viewer opt-in, and may be reviewed, delayed, downranked, removed, or restricted at any time.
Confessly reserves the right to prohibit categories of sexual, explicit, fetish, commercial, exploitative, or borderline content even if some other adult content is permitted.
10. Moderation, safety systems, and enforcement
Confessly may use automated moderation, AI-assisted review, keyword systems, rate limits, behavioral risk controls, identity verification, trust scoring, staff review, and user reports in order to maintain safety and legal compliance.
Content or accounts may be flagged, de-ranked, hidden, shadow-limited, age-gated, reviewed, removed, archived, restricted, muted, suspended, or banned at Confessly’s discretion.
Confessly is not required to provide prior notice before moderation or enforcement action where safety, legal, anti-abuse, or operational reasons justify immediate action.
Confessly may preserve moderation logs, action logs, reports, and related metadata for security, enforcement, audit, or legal purposes.
11. Reports, complaints, and third-party claims
Users may report content, profiles, messages, or other platform activity. Reports may be reviewed manually, automatically, or both.
Confessly may remove or restrict content while investigating a complaint, legal notice, safety concern, rights claim, or suspected policy violation.
If a third party claims that your content violates law, privacy, consent, copyright, reputation, or other rights, Confessly may restrict or remove that content and may retain related records for investigation and response.
You agree that Confessly may cooperate with lawful requests, legal claims, dispute processes, abuse investigations, and safety escalations where appropriate.
12. Intellectual property and takedowns
You must not upload content that infringes another person’s copyright, trademark, publicity rights, privacy rights, moral rights, or other proprietary rights.
Confessly may remove allegedly infringing content, disable repeat infringers, and respond to takedown notices or legal demands.
You may be required to provide supporting information if your content is challenged or if you challenge a takedown.
13. Supporter payments and paid features
If Confessly offers one-time support payments, badges, supporter-only unlocks, profile enhancements, or other optional paid acknowledgements, those features are provided subject to platform availability and internal rules.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, support payments are voluntary acknowledgements or access-related platform payments and do not create employment, agency, partnership, fiduciary, or ownership rights.
Confessly may change, pause, revoke, redesign, or discontinue support-related features, badges, unlocks, or eligibility rules at any time.
Refunds, disputes, and chargeback handling may be restricted or resolved according to platform policy, payment processor rules, fraud controls, and applicable law.
14. Off-platform sharing and third-party behavior
By using Confessly, you understand and accept that other users or third parties may screenshot, record, cache, scrape, quote, copy, repost, redistribute, or discuss platform content outside of Confessly.
Confessly does not guarantee that content visible on the platform will remain private, undistributed, or free from off-platform copying.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Confessly is not liable for off-platform redistribution, reposting, mirroring, private sharing, third-party archiving, or independent third-party misuse of content once another user or third party has accessed it.
15. Service availability and platform changes
Confessly may update, modify, suspend, discontinue, throttle, limit, or remove any part of the platform at any time, with or without notice.
This includes changes to feeds, media, discovery, moderation, verification, messaging, supporter features, analytics, search, social tools, reporting systems, storage policies, and content visibility.
Confessly does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent storage, delivery, or recoverability of any content, account state, notification, or feature.
16. Privacy, logging, and operational records
Confessly may collect and process account information, moderation history, technical metadata, behavioral signals, device or browser information, report history, content metadata, and related records as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, investigate, audit, and improve the service.
Confessly may retain logs and safety records for fraud prevention, moderation review, legal defense, regulatory compliance, abuse investigations, and platform integrity purposes.
Where applicable, privacy-specific details may also be described in a separate Privacy Policy or related disclosure.
17. Disclaimers
Confessly is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Confessly does not guarantee that the platform will always be secure, uninterrupted, error-free, fully private, fully accurate, fully moderated in real time, or free from offensive, harmful, unlawful, or infringing user behavior.
Confessly does not endorse user content, user opinions, anonymous confessions, creator statements, or third-party claims made through the platform.
18. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Confessly, its operators, owners, staff, moderators, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, punitive, or reputational damages, or for loss of data, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, emotional distress, or off-platform harms arising out of or related to user content, platform use, moderation, account restrictions, third-party behavior, or service interruptions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, any liability of Confessly arising from use of the service will be limited to the amount paid by you to Confessly in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or a minimal statutory amount where no payment was made and local law does not allow complete limitation.
19. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Confessly, its operators, owners, staff, moderators, contractors, service providers, and affiliates from and against claims, losses, liabilities, damages, judgments, costs, fines, penalties, and reasonable legal expenses arising out of or related to your content, your conduct, your violation of these terms, your misuse of the platform, your infringement of third-party rights, or your unlawful or abusive activity.
20. Termination
You may stop using Confessly at any time.
Confessly may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access at any time for policy, operational, fraud, abuse, safety, legal, or business reasons.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, licenses, moderation records, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, enforcement, and dispute-related provisions, will continue to apply after termination.
21. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws selected by Confessly or, where required, the applicable mandatory laws of the user’s jurisdiction.
Where legally permitted, disputes relating to Confessly may be resolved in the courts or dispute forums chosen by Confessly’s governing terms, business location, or applicable law.
Nothing in these terms prevents Confessly from seeking urgent injunctive, protective, or equitable relief where needed to protect the platform, its users, or its rights.
22. Contact and legal notices
If you need to submit a legal concern, policy complaint, consent-related issue, infringement notice, or safety escalation, you should use the reporting and contact channels made available by Confessly.
Confessly may require sufficient detail, proof, context, and identity information before acting on certain complaints or legal requests.
